“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
First, become familiar with BreezoMeter's API documentation. Identify the specific endpoints needed to fetch the data you want. Understand the authorization process, rate limits, and data formats (usually JSON).
Install Python if you haven’t already. Use `pip` to install required libraries such as `requests` for making HTTP requests and `pandas` for data manipulation. Set up a virtual environment to manage dependencies cleanly.
Write a Python script to make HTTP GET requests to BreezoMeter's API using the `requests` library. Handle authentication by including your API key in the request headers or parameters. Parse the JSON response and store it in a Python data structure, like a dictionary or a `pandas` DataFrame.
Prepare the data for insertion into TiDB. Use `pandas` to clean and transform the data into a tabular format that matches your TiDB schema. This includes handling missing values, converting data types, and ensuring consistency with your database's table structure.
Install TiDB if it is not already set up. Ensure that the TiDB server is running and accessible. Use the TiDB command-line tools or a client such as `MySQL Workbench` to create the necessary schema and tables where the data will be inserted.
Use Python's `mysql-connector-python` library to connect to your TiDB database. Loop through the transformed data and execute `INSERT` statements to load the data into the TiDB tables. Use transactions to manage data integrity, committing once all data is successfully inserted.
To regularly update TiDB with new data, automate the data fetching, transformation, and loading process. Use a task scheduler like `cron` (on Unix systems) or Task Scheduler (on Windows) to run your Python script at regular intervals, ensuring your TiDB database remains up-to-date with the latest data from BreezoMeter.
By following these steps, you can effectively move data from BreezoMeter to TiDB without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
