How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Export Data from Freshsales

Begin by logging into your Freshsales account. Navigate to the data export section, typically found under settings or data management. Select the types of data you wish to export (e.g., contacts, deals, leads) and choose an appropriate format for export, usually CSV or Excel. Perform the export and download the files to your local system.

Open the exported files in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Review the data to ensure all necessary fields are included and clean up any inconsistencies or errors. Ensure that the data is formatted correctly (e.g., dates, currency) and remove any columns or data not needed for the import into Convex.

Before importing, understand the data structure required by Convex. Create a mapping document to align Freshsales fields with Convex fields. This step is crucial for ensuring that the data fits the expected structure in Convex. Modify your spreadsheet to match this mapping, renaming column headers as needed.

Log into your Convex account and navigate to the data import feature, often found in the administration or data management section. This feature will guide you through the process of importing data into Convex.

Based on the Convex import requirements, ensure that your prepared spreadsheet meets all criteria. This may include saving the file in a specific format like CSV if required. Double-check that the mapped fields from Freshsales align with the expected Convex fields.
