"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Begin by familiarizing yourself with FullStory's data export options. FullStory allows you to export data through its API. Review the API documentation to understand the types of data you can extract, such as user sessions or events, and the available endpoints. Ensure you have the necessary permissions and API keys to access the data.
Access FullStory's API by creating an API key in your FullStory account settings. This key will be used to authenticate your requests. Make sure to store the API key securely and limit its permissions to only what is necessary for your data export task.
Write scripts to construct and send HTTP GET requests to FullStory's API endpoints. Use a programming language like Python or JavaScript for scripting. Specify the data range and type of data you wish to extract. Handle pagination if the data exceeds a single page of results.
Once you receive the data, parse the JSON responses to extract relevant fields. Choose a suitable format for the data that will be compatible with Convex, such as CSV or JSON. Clean and transform the data as needed to align with Convex's data schema requirements.
Before importing data into Convex, ensure that the necessary data structures (like tables or collections) are set up in Convex. Define the schema based on the structure of the data you plan to import. Confirm that you have the required permissions to add or modify data in Convex.
Develop scripts to read the formatted data and use Convex's API to import it. If Convex provides a REST API, send POST requests with the data payload. Ensure that any data transformations needed for compatibility are applied during this step.
After the import is complete, verify that the data in Convex matches the original data in FullStory. Perform spot checks and run consistency checks to ensure data integrity. If discrepancies are found, investigate and resolve them by adjusting your scripts or repeating the necessary steps.
By following these steps, you can transfer data from FullStory to Convex manually without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
