How to load data from LinkedIn Pages to TiDB

Learn how to use Airbyte to synchronize your LinkedIn Pages data into TiDB within minutes.

Building your pipeline or Using Airbyte

Airbyte is the only open source solution empowering data teams  to meet all their growing custom business demands in the new AI era.

Building in-house pipelines
Bespoke pipelines are:
  • Inconsistent and inaccurate data
  • Laborious and expensive
  • Brittle and inflexible
Furthermore, you will need to build and maintain Y x Z pipelines with Y sources and Z destinations to cover all your needs.
After Airbyte
Airbyte connections are:
  • Reliable and accurate
  • Extensible and scalable for all your needs
  • Deployed and governed your way
All your pipelines in minutes, however custom they are, thanks to Airbyte’s connector marketplace and AI Connector Builder.

Start syncing with Airbyte in 3 easy steps within 10 minutes

Set up a LinkedIn Pages connector in Airbyte

Connect to or one of 400+ pre-built or 10,000+ custom connectors through simple account authentication.

Set up TiDB for your extracted LinkedIn Pages data

Select where you want to import data from your source to. You can also choose other cloud data warehouses, databases, data lakes, vector databases, or any other supported Airbyte destinations.

Configure the LinkedIn Pages to TiDB in Airbyte

This includes selecting the data you want to extract - streams and columns -, the sync frequency, where in the destination you want that data to be loaded.

How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Manual Data Collection from LinkedIn

Begin by manually collecting the data you require from LinkedIn pages. Since LinkedIn restricts automated data scraping, use the platform's export features or manually copy relevant data such as company names, descriptions, and other public information into a CSV file or a similar format.

Once you have your data, clean and structure it in a CSV file. Ensure that each column aligns with the fields you plan to create in your TiDB tables. This step involves checking for missing values, correcting inconsistencies, and ensuring uniform data types.

If you haven’t already, install TiDB on your server or local machine. TiDB is a distributed SQL database, often deployed using TiUP, the TiDB cluster management tool. Follow the official TiDB documentation to set up your environment correctly.

Use the TiDB command-line interface or a SQL client to create a new database and the necessary tables. Define the schema based on the structure of the CSV file. For example, use SQL commands like `CREATE DATABASE linkedin_data;` and `CREATE TABLE company_info (id INT PRIMARY KEY, name VARCHAR(255), description TEXT);`.

Write a script in a programming language like Python or Go to import your CSV data into TiDB. Use libraries such as `pandas` in Python to read the CSV file and `mysql-connector-python` to connect to TiDB and execute SQL insert statements. Ensure your script handles potential issues like duplicate entries and data type mismatches.

Run your script to import data from the CSV file into TiDB. Monitor the process for any errors or warnings and ensure that all data has been transferred accurately. Adjust the script as necessary to handle any issues that arise during this process.

After the import process is complete, conduct a thorough check to verify data integrity. Run SQL queries to count records, check for nulls, and ensure all data fields are correctly populated. This verification step is crucial to confirm that your data migration was successful and that no data was lost or corrupted.

By following these steps, you'll be able to move data from LinkedIn pages to TiDB without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
