What sets Airbyte Apart
Modern GenAI Workflows
Streamline AI workflows with Airbyte: load unstructured data into vector stores like Pinecone, Weaviate, and Milvus. Supports RAG transformations with LangChain chunking and embeddings from OpenAI, Cohere, etc., all in one operation.
Move Large Volumes, Fast
Quickly get up and running with a 5-minute setup that enables both incremental and full refreshes for databases of any size, seamlessly scaling to handle large data volumes. Our optimized architecture overcomes performance bottlenecks, ensuring efficient data synchronization even as your datasets grow from gigabytes to petabytes.
An Extensible Open-Source Standard
More than 1,000 developers contribute to Airbyte’s connectors, different interfaces (UI, API, Terraform Provider, Python Library), and integrations with the rest of the stack. Airbyte’s AI Connector Builder lets you edit or add new connectors in minutes.
Full Control & Security
Airbyte secures your data with cloud-hosted, self-hosted or hybrid deployment options. Single Sign-On (SSO) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) ensure only authorized users have access with the right permissions. Airbyte acts as a HIPAA conduit and supports compliance with CCPA, GDPR, and SOC2.
Fully Featured & Integrated
Airbyte automates schema evolution for seamless data flow, and utilizes efficient Change Data Capture (CDC) for real-time updates. Select only the columns you need, and leverage our dbt integration for powerful data transformations.
Enterprise Support with SLAs
Airbyte Self-Managed Enterprise comes with dedicated support and guaranteed service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring that your data movement infrastructure remains reliable and performant, and expert assistance is available when needed.
What our users say

Raman Singh
Predictable, straightforward pricing model that simplified budgeting and significantly reduced overall spend

Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Orb
Begin by exporting the data from Orb in a format that is workable for importing into Weaviate, such as CSV or JSON. Check Orb’s documentation for the exact procedure, ensuring that you have all necessary fields and data points required for your use case.
Step 2: Prepare Data for Weaviate Structure
Review the exported data and structure it according to Weaviate’s schema requirements. Weaviate uses a graph-based model, so ensure that your data reflects this by defining entities, classes, and properties. Create a mapping guide to match Orb data fields with Weaviate’s schema.
Step 3: Set Up Weaviate Instance
Deploy a Weaviate instance if not done already. You can run Weaviate locally using Docker or deploy it on a cloud service. Ensure it’s accessible and configured correctly to receive data. Review Weaviate documentation for installation and setup instructions.
Step 4: Define Weaviate Schema
Access the Weaviate console or use API calls to define your schema, which includes classes and properties based on your data mapping guide. This step is critical as it forms the backbone of how your data will be stored and queried in Weaviate.
Step 5: Transform Data to JSON Objects
Convert your exported Orb data into JSON objects that align with your defined Weaviate schema. This transformation process involves converting each record from the CSV/JSON export into valid JSON-LD format. Use scripting languages like Python to automate this conversion if necessary.
Step 6: Import Data into Weaviate
Use Weaviate’s RESTful API to import the JSON objects. This involves writing scripts or using command-line tools to send POST requests to the Weaviate instance. Handle any errors or conflicts that arise by checking response codes and messages.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity and Completeness
Once the data import is complete, verify that all data has been moved correctly and is accessible in Weaviate. Use the Weaviate console or API to query the data, ensuring that relationships and properties are intact. Perform sample queries to confirm data integrity and completeness.
By following these steps, you can efficiently move data from Orb to Weaviate while maintaining control over the entire process without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
