“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Begin by exporting the data you want to move from PrestaShop. Access the PrestaShop back-office and use the built-in export functionality to extract data such as products, customers, or orders. Typically, this data can be exported in CSV format. Ensure that you include all necessary fields and data types for your target DynamoDB schema.
Once you have the CSV file, review it to understand its structure. Identify the columns and data types as they appear in PrestaShop. This step is crucial as you will need to map these fields to the appropriate structure and data types in DynamoDB.
Log in to your AWS Management Console and navigate to DynamoDB. Create a new DynamoDB table, specifying the primary key and any secondary indexes that fit your data model. Consider the access patterns of your application to design the table efficiently, focusing on partition and sort keys.
Use a programming language like Python or Node.js to script the transformation of the CSV data into a format compatible with DynamoDB. Utilize libraries such as Pandas in Python to read and manipulate the CSV data, converting it into JSON objects that match your DynamoDB schema. Ensure all necessary data transformations, such as type conversions and key renaming, are handled during this stage.
Install the AWS SDK for your chosen programming language (e.g., Boto3 for Python or AWS SDK for JavaScript). Configure the SDK with your AWS credentials to allow your script to interact with DynamoDB. Ensure that your IAM user has the necessary permissions to write to the DynamoDB table.
Implement a script to read the transformed JSON data and write each item to your DynamoDB table. Use batch operations to efficiently handle large datasets, keeping in mind DynamoDB's write capacity limits. Monitor for any errors during the data ingestion process and handle retries or exceptions as needed.
After the data has been migrated, perform a thorough verification of the data in DynamoDB. Cross-check a sample of records against the original PrestaShop data to ensure that all fields are accurately transferred and transformed. Utilize DynamoDB queries to validate the data integrity and confirm that the data is accessible and consistent with your application’s requirements.
