“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Begin by familiarizing yourself with the Recharge API. Review the documentation provided by Recharge to understand the available endpoints, authentication methods, and data formats. This knowledge will guide you in selecting the appropriate API calls to extract the necessary data.
Set up authentication to securely access Recharge API. Typically, this involves generating an API key within the Recharge admin panel. Use this API key in your HTTP headers to authenticate your requests when accessing the Recharge data.
Write a script using a programming language like Python or Node.js to call the Recharge API endpoints. Use HTTP GET requests to retrieve data such as customers, subscriptions, orders, etc. Ensure you handle pagination if the dataset is large, by following the pagination guidelines in the API documentation.
Once you have extracted the data, transform it to fit the schema of your DynamoDB table. This might involve restructuring JSON objects, converting data types, and ensuring that all necessary attributes are present to match the primary key requirements and any secondary indexes you have set up in DynamoDB.
Install and configure the AWS SDK in your development environment to interact with DynamoDB. For Python, this would involve installing `boto3`, while Node.js would require the `aws-sdk` package. Configure your AWS credentials and region settings to ensure you have the necessary permissions to write to your DynamoDB tables.
Develop a script to load the transformed data into your DynamoDB table. Utilize batch writing operations to efficiently insert multiple records at once, reducing the number of write requests and improving performance. Make sure to handle any potential errors, such as conditional check failures or provisioned throughput exceeded exceptions.
After loading the data, perform checks to verify that the data in DynamoDB matches the data extracted from Recharge. Implement logging and monitoring to track the data transfer process and set up alerts for any failures or anomalies. Use AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and create dashboards to visualize the data transfer status.
By following these steps, you can efficiently move data from Recharge to DynamoDB using only the native capabilities of both platforms.
