Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Understand Data Structures
Begin by familiarizing yourself with the data structures of both Recurly and Weaviate. Identify the data entities in Recurly (such as subscriptions, transactions, and accounts) and the schema required in Weaviate, which is a graph-based, vector search engine.
Step 2: Export Data from Recurly
Use Recurly's API to export the necessary data. You can achieve this by writing a script that utilizes Recurly API endpoints to fetch data in JSON or CSV format. Ensure you have the necessary API credentials and permissions to access the data.
Step 3: Prepare Weaviate Schema
Before importing data into Weaviate, define your schema to accommodate the data structures from Recurly. Use Weaviate’s RESTful API to configure your schema, including classes and properties, ensuring they match the data types and relationships from Recurly.
Step 4: Transform Data for Import
Create a transformation script to convert the exported data from Recurly into a format suitable for Weaviate. This may involve converting JSON objects to align with Weaviate’s schema, mapping object properties, and ensuring data types are compatible.
Step 5: Set Up Weaviate Instance
Deploy a Weaviate instance either locally or on a cloud service. Ensure that it is properly configured and accessible via API. Verify that your instance has sufficient resources to handle the expected data volume.
Step 6: Import Data into Weaviate
Use the Weaviate API to import your transformed data. Write a script to iterate over your data set and make API calls to create or update objects in Weaviate. Ensure you handle any API rate limits and errors during this process.
Step 7: Verify and Validate Data Integrity
After the import process, perform checks to ensure that the data in Weaviate matches the original data from Recurly. Query the Weaviate database to validate data integrity, relationships, and ensure that there are no discrepancies or missing records.
By following these steps, you can manually transfer data from Recurly to Weaviate without using any third-party connectors or integrations.
