How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Reply.io
Begin by logging into your Reply.io account. Navigate to the data section (e.g., leads, contacts, or whatever specific data you need). Use the export functionality provided by Reply.io to download the data in a CSV or Excel format. This file will serve as your source data for transfer to Firebolt.
Step 2: Prepare Data for Firebolt
Open the exported file in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Ensure that the data is clean and properly formatted. Check for any potential issues like missing values, incorrect data types, or any anomalies that need correction. Save the cleaned data file in CSV format, as this is typically the most compatible format for importing into databases.
Step 3: Set Up Firebolt Database
Access your Firebolt account and create a new database or ensure you have access to an existing one where you want to import the data. Set up the necessary tables that match the structure of your CSV file. Define the appropriate data types for each column to ensure the data is imported correctly.
Step 4: Install Firebolt CLI
Download and install the Firebolt Command Line Interface (CLI) on your local machine. This tool is necessary for interacting directly with your Firebolt instance. Follow the installation instructions provided by Firebolt, which usually involves downloading a package and executing an installation script.
Step 5: Authenticate with Firebolt
Use the Firebolt CLI to authenticate with your Firebolt account. You will typically need to provide your Firebolt username, password, and possibly an API key or token. This step ensures that you have the necessary permissions to upload data to your Firebolt database.
Step 6: Upload Data to Firebolt
With the Firebolt CLI, use the appropriate command to upload your CSV file to the Firebolt database. This might involve executing a data ingestion command that specifies the database and table into which the data should be imported. Make sure to reference the correct file path for your CSV and ensure that the command aligns with the data structure you've set in Firebolt.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity
After the upload is complete, use SQL queries within Firebolt to verify the data integrity. Check that all records are present and that there are no discrepancies between the original data in Reply.io and what is now in Firebolt. Confirm that the data types align and that there is no data corruption or loss during the transfer process.
By following these steps, you can effectively transfer data from Reply.io to Firebolt without the need for third-party connectors or integrations.
