“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Secoda
To begin, navigate to your Secoda account and locate the data you want to export. Use the built-in export functionality to download the data in a commonly used format, such as CSV or JSON. Ensure the export file is saved securely on your local system.
Step 2: Review and Clean the Data
Open the exported data file and review its contents for any inconsistencies, errors, or unnecessary information. Clean the data by removing duplicates, correcting errors, and ensuring consistent formatting. This will help prevent issues during the import process into Weaviate.
Step 3: Prepare Data for Weaviate Schema
Familiarize yourself with the schema requirements for Weaviate by reviewing its documentation. Transform your cleaned data to match the required schema. This may involve formatting changes, data normalization, and ensuring all necessary fields are included.
Step 4: Set Up a Local Environment for Weaviate
Install Weaviate locally by following the official installation guide, which typically involves using Docker. Ensure your local environment is configured correctly to host Weaviate, and verify that it is running properly by accessing the Weaviate console.
Step 5: Create Classes and Properties in Weaviate
In the Weaviate console, define the necessary classes and properties that correspond to your prepared data schema. This step involves setting up the data structure in Weaviate, including data types and any constraints that must be considered.
Step 6: Import Data Using Weaviate’s REST API
Use Weaviate’s REST API to import the data. Write a script or use a tool like cURL to send HTTP POST requests to the Weaviate instance with your data. Ensure the data is formatted as JSON and matches the schema defined in Weaviate. Check the API documentation for the correct endpoints and authentication methods.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity and Consistency
After importing, access the Weaviate console or use the REST API to query the data and verify that it has been imported correctly. Check for any discrepancies or errors, and make necessary adjustments to the data or schema if required. This step ensures the data integrity and consistency in the new environment.
By following these steps, you can effectively move data from Secoda to Weaviate without the need for third-party connectors or integrations.
