How to load data from Sendinblue to Clickhouse

Learn how to use Airbyte to synchronize your Sendinblue data into Clickhouse within minutes.

Building your pipeline or Using Airbyte

Airbyte is the only open source solution empowering data teams  to meet all their growing custom business demands in the new AI era.

Building in-house pipelines

Bespoke pipelines are:
  • Inconsistent and inaccurate data
  • Laborious and expensive
  • Brittle and inflexible
Furthermore, you will need to build and maintain Y x Z pipelines with Y sources and Z destinations to cover all your needs.

After Airbyte

Airbyte connections are:
  • Reliable and accurate
  • Extensible and scalable for all your needs
  • Deployed and governed your way
All your pipelines in minutes, however custom they are, thanks to Airbyte’s connector marketplace and AI Connector Builder.

Start syncing with Airbyte in 3 easy steps within 10 minutes

Set up a Sendinblue connector in Airbyte

Connect to or one of 400+ pre-built or 10,000+ custom connectors through simple account authentication.

Set up Clickhouse for your extracted Sendinblue data

Select where you want to import data from your source to. You can also choose other cloud data warehouses, databases, data lakes, vector databases, or any other supported Airbyte destinations.

Configure the Sendinblue to Clickhouse in Airbyte

This includes selecting the data you want to extract - streams and columns -, the sync frequency, where in the destination you want that data to be loaded.

How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Export Data from Sendinblue

Begin by exporting the data you wish to transfer from Sendinblue. Log in to your Sendinblue account and navigate to the section where your data is stored (e.g., contacts, campaigns, etc.). Use the export feature to download the data in a CSV or Excel format, ensuring that all the necessary fields are included.

Step 2: Prepare the Data for ClickHouse

Once you have the exported file, review and clean the data. Ensure that the data types and formats are compatible with ClickHouse. This may involve converting date formats, normalizing strings, or ensuring numerical accuracy. Save the cleaned data as a CSV file, as ClickHouse can easily ingest CSV files.

Step 3: Set Up ClickHouse Environment

If you haven't already, set up your ClickHouse environment. Install ClickHouse on your preferred server or cloud service, following the official ClickHouse installation guide. Make sure that your server has the necessary resources and permissions to handle the data import.

Step 4: Create a ClickHouse Table

Define and create a table in ClickHouse that matches the structure of your exported data file. Use the ClickHouse SQL console or command line interface to write a `CREATE TABLE` statement. Specify the appropriate data types for each column to ensure that the incoming data is stored correctly.

Step 5: Transfer the Data to the ClickHouse Server

Transfer the prepared CSV file to the server where ClickHouse is installed. You can use secure copy protocols such as SCP or SFTP, or simply upload the file if you're working with a cloud-based server that supports file uploads.

Step 6: Import Data into ClickHouse

Use the ClickHouse `INSERT INTO` statement to import the data from the CSV file into the table you created. Execute a command such as:
```
clickhouse-client --query="INSERT INTO your_table FORMAT CSV" < /path/to/your/file.csv
```
This command reads the CSV file and inserts the data into the specified table in ClickHouse.

Step 7: Verify Data Integrity

Once the data import is complete, verify the data integrity by running a few queries on the ClickHouse table to check for accuracy and completeness. Compare the results with the original data in Sendinblue to ensure that the transfer was successful and that there was no data loss or corruption.

By following these steps, you can efficiently move data from Sendinblue to ClickHouse manually, without relying on third-party connectors.
