How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Access WooCommerce Data

Begin by logging into your WordPress admin dashboard. Navigate to the WooCommerce section and select "Reports" or "Orders" to access the data you wish to export. Depending on your needs, you may also need to access product data or customer information.

Step 2: Export Data from WooCommerce

WooCommerce allows you to export data in CSV format. Go to the "Tools" menu under WooCommerce settings and select "Export." Choose the type of data you want to export (e.g., Orders, Customers, Products) and download the CSV file to your local system.

Step 3: Prepare CSV Data for Weaviate

Open the CSV file in a spreadsheet application like Excel or Google Sheets. Ensure that the data is clean and well-structured. Pay close attention to column headers, data types, and any special characters. You may need to manipulate or reformat certain fields to align with your Weaviate schema.

Step 4: Set Up Weaviate Schema

Log in to your Weaviate instance. Define the schema that will store the WooCommerce data. This involves creating classes and properties that correspond to the data fields in your CSV file. Use Weaviate's schema editor or API to set up your data model (e.g., classes for Products, Orders, Customers).

Step 5: Convert CSV to JSON

Once your data is prepared and your Weaviate schema is set up, convert your CSV data into JSON format. This can be done using a script in Python or another programming language. Ensure that the JSON structure matches the schema defined in Weaviate, with appropriate JSON objects and arrays.

Step 6: Upload Data to Weaviate

Use Weaviate's RESTful API to upload the JSON data. This involves sending HTTP POST requests to the appropriate Weaviate endpoints. You can write a script to automate this process, ensuring that each JSON object is correctly inserted into the corresponding class in your Weaviate instance.

Step 7: Verify Data Integrity

After uploading the data, perform a verification step to ensure the data has been transferred correctly. Use Weaviate's query functionality to check the data against your original WooCommerce records. Verify that all fields are accurately represented and that no data is missing or corrupted.

By following these steps, you can effectively move data from WooCommerce to Weaviate without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
