After investing a full year on Discourse, we have decided to transition to GitHub Discussions as we believe it will help our beloved community better for the next stage of Airbyte.

A Unified Collaboration Experience

One of the key driving forces behind our move to GitHub Discussions is the desire to bring the community closer together. With this transition, community members can seamlessly transition from discussions to issues and pull requests (PRs) within the same platform. This unified experience promotes better collaboration and ensures that any issues identified during discussions can be easily tracked and resolved for all parties involved.

Enhanced Community Engagement

We recognize the value of community involvement and wants to give its users a stronger voice. Our GitHub Discussions introduces an "Ideas" category that empowers the community to share suggestions, propose new features, and provide valuable feedback. Roadmap Consolidation on GitHub

As a result, the Discourse platform will remain accessible in a read-only format. Users will be able to search and access previously answered topics, effectively utilizing Discourse as a knowledge base.
