Setup

Live in five steps

In Airbyte Cloud, create a new source and select Reddit Ads.
Under Authentication, select Authenticate with Reddit, then select Authenticate your Reddit Ads account. Sign in to Reddit as a user who can access the ad account you want to sync, and select Allow. If you prefer to use your own developer app, select Use your own Reddit app instead and follow step 2 of For Airbyte Open Source.
Enter the Ad Account ID.
Optionally, set User Agent, Start Date, Number of Concurrent Workers, and Report Lookback Window (Days).
Select Set up source.

Configuration fields

Field	Type	Description
ad_account_id*	string	The Reddit Ads account ID to sync, shown in Reddit Ads Manager, for example a2_abc123.
credentials*	object	Choose how to authenticate to Reddit.
num_workers	integer	Higher values speed up syncs but increase the chance of Reddit rate limiting.
report_lookback_window_days	integer	How many whole days before the last synced report date each incremental sync re-reads, so late-attributed conversions and other restated metrics are picked up.
start_time	string	Optional UTC start date applied to the incremental streams, in YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ format. When omitted, those streams start 24 months before the current date. A value earlier than 24 months ago is clamped for the report streams, because Reddit only serves report data for the last 24 months.
user_agent	string	Optional. A unique and descriptive user agent string in the format: platform:app_id:version (by /u/yourusername). If empty, the connector uses an Airbyte user agent.

Do I need more than one Reddit Ads connection?

No. One Reddit Ads authorization powers both the scheduled syncs that land data in your destination and the entity actions your agents call at runtime.

Do Reddit Ads entity actions need a sync to run first?

No. Entity actions read and write through the Reddit Ads API as they are called, so they work immediately. Context store search is the exception: it queries data Airbyte has already synced, which is what lets it filter and sort without spending API rate limits.
