What our users say

Raman Singh
Predictable, straightforward pricing model that simplified budgeting and significantly reduced overall spend

Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Set Up NetSuite RESTlet
To extract data from NetSuite, begin by creating a RESTlet script. This script will define the logic for querying the desired data. Write and deploy the script in NetSuite's SuiteScript environment. Ensure the script is accessible via a REST API endpoint by setting up the appropriate permissions in NetSuite.
Step 2: Authenticate with NetSuite
Use NetSuite's OAuth 1.0 for authentication. Set up an integration record in NetSuite to obtain the consumer key and secret. Then, create an OAuth signature using these credentials along with a token and token secret from a user role that has access to the RESTlet. This will allow secure API calls to the RESTlet.
Step 3: Extract Data from NetSuite
Utilize a custom script or program (in Python, Node.js, etc.) to call the RESTlet endpoint. This script should handle the OAuth authentication and make HTTP requests to retrieve data from NetSuite. The data received will typically be in JSON format.
Step 4: Transform Data Locally (if necessary)
Once data is extracted, you may need to perform local transformations to ensure compatibility with S3 or to preprocess the data according to your needs. This can be done using scripts to clean, filter, or convert data formats.
Step 5: Prepare AWS S3 Bucket
Set up an S3 bucket in AWS to store the extracted data. Define a folder structure if necessary, and ensure that the bucket policies allow for data uploads from your local environment. Use AWS IAM roles or user credentials with appropriate permissions to interact with S3.
Step 6: Upload Data to S3
Use AWS SDKs (such as Boto3 for Python) to upload the transformed data from your local environment to the designated S3 bucket. Ensure that the data is stored in a compatible format for AWS Glue, such as CSV, JSON, or Parquet.
Step 7: Configure AWS Glue for ETL
With data now in S3, set up an AWS Glue job to process the data. Define a Glue crawler to catalog the data schema and create a Glue ETL job to transform and load the data as needed. Ensure that Glue has the necessary permissions to access the S3 bucket and any other resources it requires.
This guide provides a direct approach to moving data from NetSuite to S3, leveraging native capabilities and custom scripting.
