“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Access Unleash Data
Begin by accessing the data from your Unleash instance. You can do this by using the Unleash API, which allows you to fetch data programmatically. Ensure you have the necessary API credentials and permissions to read data from Unleash.
Step 2: Fetch Feature Toggles Data
Use the Unleash API to fetch the feature toggles and their associated data. This typically involves making an HTTP GET request to the Unleash server's API endpoint that provides the feature toggle data. Parse the JSON response to extract the relevant data fields you need to transfer.
Step 3: Prepare Data for Migration
Once you have fetched the data, prepare it for migration. This may involve transforming the data structure to match the schema of the MySQL database. You might need to clean, normalize, or reformat the data to ensure compatibility.
Step 4: Set Up MySQL Database
Ensure that your MySQL server is set up and running. Create a new database and tables that match the schema of the data you are transferring from Unleash. Use the MySQL command-line interface or a database management tool to define the structure of the tables.
Step 5: Establish Direct Connection to MySQL
Establish a direct connection to the MySQL database from your environment. This can be done using a programming language like Python, Java, or Node.js, which have native MySQL libraries. For example, in Python, you can use the `mysql-connector-python` library to connect to the database.
Step 6: Insert Data into MySQL
Write a script to iterate over the prepared data and insert it into the MySQL tables. Use the established connection to execute SQL `INSERT` statements. Ensure that data types are correctly matched and handle any potential data conversion issues.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity
After the data has been inserted, verify the integrity of the data in the MySQL database. Run queries to check that all records have been transferred accurately and no data is missing or corrupted. Compare the data in MySQL with the original data from Unleash to ensure consistency.
By following these steps, you can successfully migrate data from Unleash to a MySQL database without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
