How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Access Zoho CRM API
To begin, ensure you have access to the Zoho CRM API. You'll need to generate an API key or OAuth token to authenticate your requests. Log in to your Zoho CRM account, navigate to the Developer Space, and create a new client to obtain the necessary authentication credentials.
Step 2: Extract Data from Zoho CRM
Use the Zoho CRM API to extract data. You can use HTTP requests to access specific modules (like Leads, Contacts, or Accounts). Use GET requests to fetch the data. The API documentation will provide the necessary endpoints and parameters for retrieving the data you need.
Step 3: Parse the JSON Response
The data from Zoho CRM will be returned in JSON format. Use a programming language like Python to parse this JSON data. Libraries such as `json` in Python can help you load and manipulate JSON data efficiently. Ensure you extract the necessary fields that are required for your MongoDB database.
Step 4: Set Up MongoDB
Install MongoDB on your local machine or set up a MongoDB Atlas cluster if you prefer a cloud-based solution. Ensure MongoDB is running and accessible. Create a new database and the necessary collections where you intend to store the extracted data.
Step 5: Transform Data for MongoDB
Prepare the parsed JSON data for insertion into MongoDB. This may involve data transformation to meet the schema requirements of your MongoDB collections. Ensure that the data fields from Zoho CRM are mapped correctly to the fields in your MongoDB database.
Step 6: Insert Data into MongoDB
Use a programming language like Python along with a MongoDB driver, such as `pymongo`, to insert the data into MongoDB. Establish a connection to your MongoDB instance, and use the `insert_one()` or `insert_many()` methods to insert the data into the designated collections.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity
After insertion, verify that the data has been correctly transferred from Zoho CRM to MongoDB. Perform queries on your MongoDB collections to ensure that the data is accurate and complete. Check for any discrepancies and address any issues that may have occurred during the data transfer process.
By following these steps, you can successfully move data from Zoho CRM to MongoDB without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
