Learn how to build a full-stack AI bot

Late last year we launched airbyte.io/learn, our learning platform to help you learn everything related to Airbyte. We've been getting great feedback from the community on our first course, Airbyte Cloud Fundamentals. We also kept hearing that developers wanted more guidance on how to build AI apps. Today, I'm super excited to announce the availability of our next course, Build an AI Bot. All courses are free and you can get started right now.

In the course, we really wanted to show you how to create a full-stack AI app, starting from creating data pipelines from popular sources such as Stripe and moving it to Supabase, before finally using OpenAI and Python to create the bot. The DevRel team is a huge fan of Supabase for full-stack AI apps.It's a great way to easily run PGVector in the cloud. For AI apps that require embeddings to perform similarity searches, a vector database such as PGVector is a critical part of the stack. Airbyte + Supabase takes all the heavy lifting of AI app backends and makes it incredibly quick to get your stack set up.

A core criteria of this course was that we wanted to ensure you could create the entire app with free trial versions for every part of the stack. Through the course, you will learn how embeddings are generated based on data (for our use case this is Stripe data). Generating embeddings is relatively expensive in terms of tokens, quickly burning through token limits on the free openAI tier. Thankfully, you can utilize Langchain to create fake embeddings for you, which allows us to save OpenAI tokens for implementing the chatbot itself.

So many of the online courses, which we looked at when researching what to put in this course, either focused on one part of building an AI app (typically the conversational part and not covering data and embeddings), or assumed that you have access to a paid account. It was important for us at AIrbyte to make sure everyone could benefit from this course, no credit cards required.
