How to load data from MailerLite to Teradata

Learn how to use Airbyte to synchronize your MailerLite data into Teradata within minutes.

Building your pipeline or Using Airbyte

Airbyte is the only open source solution empowering data teams  to meet all their growing custom business demands in the new AI era.

Building in-house pipelines

Bespoke pipelines are:
  • Inconsistent and inaccurate data
  • Laborious and expensive
  • Brittle and inflexible
Furthermore, you will need to build and maintain Y x Z pipelines with Y sources and Z destinations to cover all your needs.

After Airbyte

Airbyte connections are:
  • Reliable and accurate
  • Extensible and scalable for all your needs
  • Deployed and governed your way
All your pipelines in minutes, however custom they are, thanks to Airbyte’s connector marketplace and AI Connector Builder.

Start syncing with Airbyte in 3 easy steps within 10 minutes

Set up a MailerLite connector in Airbyte

Connect to or one of 400+ pre-built or 10,000+ custom connectors through simple account authentication.

Set up Teradata for your extracted MailerLite data

Select where you want to import data from your source to. You can also choose other cloud data warehouses, databases, data lakes, vector databases, or any other supported Airbyte destinations.

Configure the MailerLite to Teradata in Airbyte

This includes selecting the data you want to extract - streams and columns -, the sync frequency, where in the destination you want that data to be loaded.

How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Export Data from MailerLite

Begin by logging into your MailerLite account. Navigate to the section where your data is stored (such as subscribers or campaign results). Use the built-in export function to download your data. Typically, MailerLite allows you to export data as CSV files, which are ideal for manual data handling.

Step 2: Prepare Data for Transfer

Once you have downloaded the CSV files, open them in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Verify that the data is complete and clean, ensuring there are no missing values, inconsistencies, or errors. Make any necessary adjustments to prepare it for loading into Teradata.

Step 3: Set Up Teradata Environment

Ensure that you have access to your Teradata environment. You'll need a Teradata client tool such as Teradata SQL Assistant or Teradata Studio. Confirm that you have the necessary permissions to create tables and load data into your Teradata database.

Step 4: Create Tables in Teradata

Using your Teradata client tool, connect to your Teradata database. Create tables that match the structure of your CSV data. Use the appropriate SQL `CREATE TABLE` syntax to define the tables, specifying data types that correspond to the columns in your CSV files.

Step 5: Convert CSV to Teradata-Compatible Format

Before loading, ensure that your CSV files are in a format that Teradata can ingest. This might involve converting date formats or ensuring that numeric values are correctly represented. Save these files in a location accessible from your Teradata environment.

Step 6: Load Data into Teradata

Use Teradata's `FastLoad`, `MultiLoad`, or `TPT (Teradata Parallel Transporter)` utilities to load your CSV files into the Teradata database. These utilities are designed to handle large volumes of data efficiently. Write and execute scripts to specify the source files, target tables, and any necessary transformations during the load process.

Step 7: Verify Data Integrity

Once the data loading process is complete, perform a verification step. Run SQL queries to check that the data in Teradata matches the source data from MailerLite. Look for discrepancies in row counts, data values, and overall data integrity. Address any issues found during this verification step to ensure a successful migration.

By following these steps, you can manually move data from MailerLite to Teradata without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
