How to load data from TikTok Marketing to Weaviate

Learn how to use Airbyte to synchronize your TikTok Marketing data into Weaviate within minutes.

Building your pipeline or Using Airbyte

Airbyte is the only open source solution empowering data teams  to meet all their growing custom business demands in the new AI era.

Building in-house pipelines

Bespoke pipelines are:
  • Inconsistent and inaccurate data
  • Laborious and expensive
  • Brittle and inflexible
Furthermore, you will need to build and maintain Y x Z pipelines with Y sources and Z destinations to cover all your needs.

After Airbyte

Airbyte connections are:
  • Reliable and accurate
  • Extensible and scalable for all your needs
  • Deployed and governed your way
All your pipelines in minutes, however custom they are, thanks to Airbyte’s connector marketplace and AI Connector Builder.

How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Access TikTok for Business API

Begin by obtaining access to TikTok for Business API. You'll need to register as a developer on the TikTok for Business platform and create an application to get your API key and secret. This will enable you to programmatically access marketing data such as ad performance, audience metrics, and more.

Step 2: Extract Data from TikTok API

Use the TikTok API to extract the required marketing data. You'll need to write a script or program, likely in Python or another programming language, to make HTTP requests to the API endpoints. Be sure to authenticate your requests using the API key and secret obtained in the first step. Parse the JSON or CSV data returned by the API to structure it properly for further processing.

Step 3: Format Data for Weaviate

Once you have extracted the data, format it into a structure suitable for Weaviate. Weaviate is a vector search engine and requires data to be in a specific format, typically JSON. Ensure the data includes the necessary schema properties and types that match the Weaviate schema you plan to use.

Step 4: Set Up Weaviate Instance

Set up your Weaviate instance where you intend to store the TikTok data. This can be done locally or on a cloud service. Define the schema in Weaviate that matches the structure of your TikTok data. The schema will define classes and properties that describe the data entities and their relationships.

Step 5: Authenticate with Weaviate

Authenticate your script or application to interact with the Weaviate instance. Depending on your Weaviate setup, you might need an API key, token, or other forms of authentication. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to write data into Weaviate.

Step 6: Load Data into Weaviate

With the data formatted and Weaviate instance ready, write a script or use a tool to load data into Weaviate. This typically involves making POST requests to Weaviate's RESTful API to create objects according to the schema defined. Handle any errors or exceptions that arise during data loading to ensure data integrity.

Step 7: Verify Data Integrity

After successfully loading the data, verify its integrity by querying the Weaviate instance. Use Weaviate's query capabilities to check if the data is stored correctly and all fields are populated as expected. Perform a few test searches or queries to confirm that the data can be retrieved and utilized as intended.

By following these steps, you should be able to move data from TikTok for Business Marketing to Weaviate without the need for third-party connectors or integrations, using direct API interactions and custom scripting.
