How to load data from Yotpo to Weaviate

Learn how to use Airbyte to synchronize your Yotpo data into Weaviate within minutes.

Building your pipeline or Using Airbyte

Airbyte is the only open source solution empowering data teams  to meet all their growing custom business demands in the new AI era.

Building in-house pipelines
Bespoke pipelines are:
  • Inconsistent and inaccurate data
  • Laborious and expensive
  • Brittle and inflexible
Furthermore, you will need to build and maintain Y x Z pipelines with Y sources and Z destinations to cover all your needs.
After Airbyte
Airbyte connections are:
  • Reliable and accurate
  • Extensible and scalable for all your needs
  • Deployed and governed your way
All your pipelines in minutes, however custom they are, thanks to Airbyte’s connector marketplace and AI Connector Builder.

Start syncing with Airbyte in 3 easy steps within 10 minutes

Set up a Yotpo connector in Airbyte

Connect to or one of 400+ pre-built or 10,000+ custom connectors through simple account authentication.

Set up Weaviate for your extracted Yotpo data

Select where you want to import data from your source to. You can also choose other cloud data warehouses, databases, data lakes, vector databases, or any other supported Airbyte destinations.

Configure the Yotpo to Weaviate in Airbyte

This includes selecting the data you want to extract - streams and columns -, the sync frequency, where in the destination you want that data to be loaded.

How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Export Data from Yotpo

Begin by logging into your Yotpo account. Navigate to the data section where you can export reviews or other datasets you wish to transfer. Use the export function to download your data in a CSV or JSON format, which are commonly supported formats for data handling.

Review the exported data file to ensure it contains all necessary fields and data points you intend to import into Weaviate. Open the file in a spreadsheet application (for CSV) or a text editor (for JSON) to make any required adjustments, such as data cleaning or reformatting.

Access your Weaviate instance and define the schema that matches the structure of your Yotpo data. This involves creating classes and properties in Weaviate that correspond to the data fields in your exported file. Ensure that the data types in your schema (e.g., strings, numbers, dates) match those in your file.

Using a scripting language such as Python or a spreadsheet tool, transform your Yotpo data to align with the defined Weaviate schema. This might involve renaming columns, converting data types, or restructuring data to fit the hierarchical model used by Weaviate.

Ensure your Weaviate instance is accessible and properly configured. This includes having your API key ready if authentication is required and ensuring your instance is running and has sufficient resources to handle the incoming data load.

Use Weaviate’s RESTful API to import data. Write a script or use a tool like Postman to send HTTP POST requests to your Weaviate instance, loading the transformed data in batches. Pay attention to the API's endpoint structure and authentication requirements to ensure a successful import.

After importing, verify that all data has been accurately transferred to Weaviate by querying the database. Use Weaviate’s console or API to run queries that check for data completeness and integrity. Compare a sample of records against the original Yotpo data to ensure accuracy.

By following these steps, you can move your data from Yotpo to Weaviate without the need for third-party integrations, ensuring control over every aspect of the data transfer process.
