How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Understand Data Requirements
Begin by identifying the specific data you need to transfer from AppsFlyer to Convex. This may include user acquisition metrics, in-app events, or campaign data. Ensure you understand the data formats and any relevant filters or conditions required in Convex.
Step 2: Access AppsFlyer Data Export
Log into your AppsFlyer account and navigate to the raw data export section. AppsFlyer provides APIs to extract data, or you can manually download reports in CSV format if preferred. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to access and export the required datasets.
Step 3: Prepare Data for Transfer
Once the data is exported from AppsFlyer, prepare it for transfer. This involves cleaning the data by removing any unnecessary fields, converting data into a consistent format, and ensuring it aligns with the schemas used in Convex. Use tools like Excel or Python scripts for data manipulation.
Step 4: Establish a Secure Connection
Set up a secure method for transferring the data to Convex. This can be done through secure file transfer protocols (SFTP), HTTPS, or other secure channels. Encrypt the data if necessary to ensure security during transit.
Step 5: Develop a Data Import Script for Convex
Write a script or use Convex's API to import the cleaned data. This script should read the prepared data files and systematically upload them into the Convex system. Use programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby that support HTTP requests and data handling.
Step 6: Upload Data to Convex
Execute the script to upload your data into Convex. Monitor the upload process for any errors or discrepancies. Ensure that the imported data maintains its integrity and matches the expectations set during the initial planning phase.
Step 7: Verify and Validate Data Integrity
After the data has been uploaded to Convex, verify its accuracy and completeness. Check for any inconsistencies or missing data that may have occurred during the transfer. Conduct a thorough validation by comparing key metrics and data points between AppsFlyer and Convex to ensure a successful transfer.
By following these steps, you can effectively move data from AppsFlyer to Convex manually without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
