Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Understand the Data Structure
Before moving any data, familiarize yourself with the data structures in both Recharge and Convex. Identify the key data points you need to transfer, such as customer information, subscription details, and transaction history.
Step 2: Export Data from Recharge
Log into your Recharge account and navigate to the data export section. Export the necessary data as CSV files. Ensure that you select all the relevant fields needed for the transfer to Convex. This might include customer ID, subscription ID, product details, and payment history.
Step 3: Prepare the Data for Conversion
Open the exported CSV files and examine the data. Clean up any inconsistencies or errors, and format the data to match the structure required by Convex. This may involve renaming columns, transforming data formats (e.g., date formats), and ensuring data types are consistent.
Step 4: Set Up Convex Database
Access your Convex account and prepare the database to receive the data. Create necessary tables and fields that correspond to the data being transferred. Ensure that the database schema in Convex aligns with the prepared data structure from Recharge.
Step 5: Write a Data Import Script
Develop a script to automate the data import process from your prepared CSV files into Convex. You can use a programming language like Python or JavaScript, with libraries such as `pandas` for data manipulation and `sqlalchemy` for database interactions. Make sure the script reads the CSV files and populates the Convex database correctly.
Step 6: Execute the Data Transfer
Run the script to transfer the data from the CSV files into Convex. Monitor the process to ensure all records are successfully imported. Check for any errors or issues during the transfer and resolve them promptly by adjusting your data or script as needed.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity
Once the data is transferred, verify its integrity in the Convex database. Check for completeness and accuracy by comparing a sample of records against the original data in Recharge. Ensure that all data relationships, such as those between customers and their subscriptions, are preserved.
By following these steps, you can manually move data from Recharge to Convex without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
