Predictable, straightforward pricing model that simplified budgeting and significantly reduced overall spend

Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Dremio
To move data from Dremio, you must first export it. Use Dremio's built-in export functionality to save your datasets as CSV or Parquet files. You can do this by running a query in Dremio and then using the "Export" option in the Dremio UI to download the result set onto your local machine or a designated server.
Step 2: Set Up AWS S3 Bucket
Log in to your AWS Management Console and navigate to the S3 service. Create a new bucket or choose an existing one where you will store the exported data. Ensure that the bucket is configured with the appropriate permissions to allow data uploads.
Step 3: Upload Data to S3
Use the AWS CLI to upload the exported data files to your S3 bucket. First, configure the AWS CLI with your credentials using `aws configure`. Then, use the `aws s3 cp` command to copy files from your local system to the S3 bucket:
```
aws s3 cp /local/path/to/data.csv s3://your-bucket-name/path/to/data/
```
Step 4: Verify Data Upload in S3
Once the upload is complete, verify that the data files are correctly stored in your S3 bucket. Navigate to the S3 service in your AWS Management Console, and check the bucket to ensure that all files are present and accessible.
Step 5: Create an IAM Role for AWS Glue
In the AWS Management Console, go to IAM and create a new role for AWS Glue. Attach policies that provide read access to the S3 bucket where your data is stored and the necessary permissions for AWS Glue operations. This role will allow AWS Glue to access your data.
Step 6: Create a Crawler in AWS Glue
Navigate to the AWS Glue service and create a new crawler. Configure the crawler to use the IAM role you created and point it to your S3 bucket's location. The crawler will scan the data files and create a metadata catalog in the AWS Glue Data Catalog. Run the crawler to populate the catalog.
Step 7: Query and Transform Data with AWS Glue
After the crawler has finished, you can query and transform your data using AWS Glue. Create an AWS Glue job to process the data as needed. You can write scripts in Python or Scala to perform transformations and load the processed data back into S3 or any other destination supported by AWS Glue.
By following these steps, you can effectively move data from Dremio to S3 and integrate it with AWS Glue for further processing without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
