Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Extract Data from NetSuite
Begin by extracting the data from NetSuite. Use NetSuite's SuiteScript or SuiteTalk (SOAP or REST web services) API to programmatically access and export the needed datasets. SuiteScript is a powerful tool for automating and customizing NetSuite processes, while SuiteTalk provides a more structured API approach for data extraction.
Step 2: Format Data for Export
Once the data is extracted, you need to format it into a compatible format for Teradata import. Common formats include CSV, JSON, or XML. Ensure the data is cleaned and structured appropriately, with all necessary fields and data types correctly formatted.
Step 3: Secure Data Transmission
After formatting, securely transfer the data files from your NetSuite environment to a location accessible for Teradata processing. Use secure protocols like SFTP or HTTPS to ensure data integrity and security during the transfer process.
Step 4: Prepare Teradata Environment
Set up the required tables and schema in Teradata to accommodate the incoming data. Define the table structures, data types, indexes, and any necessary constraints. This preparation ensures that the data is loaded efficiently and accurately.
Step 5: Load Data into Teradata
Use Teradata's native tools such as BTEQ (Basic Teradata Query) or FastLoad to import the data. These utilities allow you to execute SQL scripts and load large volumes of data efficiently. Ensure to handle any data type conversions and potential errors during the loading process.
Step 6: Verify Data Integrity
Once the data is loaded into Teradata, conduct a thorough verification process to ensure data integrity. Compare row counts, perform sample data checks, and validate key data points against the original NetSuite data. This step is crucial to confirm that the data migration was successful and accurate.
Step 7: Set Up Automated Data Transfers
If ongoing data transfer is required, set up automated scripts or jobs to routinely extract, format, and load data from NetSuite to Teradata. Utilize cron jobs, batch scripts, or Teradata Scheduler to automate this process, ensuring minimal manual intervention and consistent data availability.
By following these steps, you can efficiently move data from NetSuite to Teradata without relying on third-party connectors or integrations, ensuring a secure and accurate data migration process.
