Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Qualaroo
Begin by logging into your Qualaroo account. Navigate to the section containing the data you wish to export. Qualaroo typically allows you to export data in formats such as CSV or Excel. Choose the export option and download the data to your local machine. Ensure the data is saved in a format compatible with further processing, like CSV.
Step 2: Prepare Your Local Environment
Set up your local machine for data processing. Ensure you have Python or another scripting language installed, as you will use it to manipulate and transfer data. You’ll also need access to the MySQL database where the data will be imported. Install necessary libraries or modules, such as `pandas` for handling data in Python.
Step 3: Parse and Clean the Exported Data
Write a script to load the exported Qualaroo CSV file. Utilize data processing libraries (e.g., `pandas` in Python) to parse the CSV file. Clean the data by removing any unnecessary columns, handling missing values, and ensuring data types are consistent with your MySQL database schema.
Step 4: Set Up MySQL Database
Ensure your MySQL database is properly set up to receive the data. Define the schema, including tables and columns, that matches the data structure from Qualaroo. Use the MySQL command line or a tool like MySQL Workbench to create the necessary tables.
Step 5: Establish a Database Connection
Use a database connector library (e.g., `mysql-connector-python` for Python) to establish a connection between your script and the MySQL database. Ensure you have the correct credentials (username, password, host, database name) to access the database.
Step 6: Transfer Data to MySQL
Write a script to iterate over the cleaned data and insert it into the MySQL database. Use prepared statements or ORM (Object Relational Mapping) if available, to protect against SQL injection and ensure efficient data insertion. Verify that each data entry corresponds to the correct table and columns in your MySQL database.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity
After transferring the data, conduct a verification process to ensure data integrity. Query the MySQL database to check for data consistency and completeness. Compare the data in MySQL with the original data from Qualaroo to ensure no records are missing or misaligned. Adjust any discrepancies and rerun the transfer process if necessary.
