Chase Zieman

“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Qualaroo
Begin by logging into your Qualaroo account. Navigate to the specific surveys or data sets you wish to export. Use the built-in export functionality to download the data in a CSV or JSON format. This option is usually found under the survey or report settings.
Step 2: Prepare the Data for Import
After exporting the data, review the file to ensure it is clean and properly formatted. Remove any unnecessary columns or data that you do not need to transfer. Ensure that data types (e.g., dates, strings, integers) are consistent and match the expected types in your TiDB schema.
Step 3: Design the TiDB Schema
Before importing the data, design the schema for your TiDB database. Define tables, columns, data types, and any necessary indexes that will accommodate the data structure from Qualaroo. Use TiDB’s SQL interface to create the schema.
Step 4: Install and Configure TiDB Client Tools
Install TiDB client tools, such as the TiDB command-line tool (`tidb-client`), on your local machine. Configure it to connect to your TiDB database instance by specifying the host, port, user, and password.
Step 5: Convert Data Format if Necessary
If your data needs to be in a specific format for import, convert it accordingly. For example, if you exported a JSON file and need a CSV format, use scripting languages like Python or command-line tools like `jq` for JSON to CSV conversion.
Step 6: Import Data into TiDB
Use the `LOAD DATA` SQL statement or the TiDB client tool to import your prepared data file into the TiDB database. Execute commands to load the data into the appropriate tables. For example:
```sql
LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE 'path/to/your/data.csv'
INTO TABLE your_table
FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
ENCLOSED BY '"'
LINES TERMINATED BY '\n'
IGNORE 1 ROWS;
```
Step 7: Verify and Validate the Data
After the import process completes, verify that the data has been correctly loaded into TiDB. Run SQL queries to check the data integrity and ensure that all records have been imported accurately. Address any issues by examining error logs or re-importing problematic data subsets as necessary.
By following these steps, you can successfully move data from Qualaroo to TiDB without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
