"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Recruitee
Start by logging into your Recruitee account. Navigate to the data or reports section where you can export data. Recruitee typically allows you to export data in CSV format, which is a common data interchange format that can be easily processed. Select the data you need, like candidate details or job postings, and export it as a CSV file.
Step 2: Prepare Data for Import
Once you have the CSV file, open it using a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Review the data to ensure it is clean and well-structured. Check for any inconsistencies or missing values and correct them. Make sure the data types and formats are consistent and compatible with the schema you plan to use in TiDB.
Step 3: Install TiDB and Set Up Environment
Download and install TiDB on your local machine or set it up on a server. Follow the official TiDB installation guide available on their website to get the database running. Once installed, configure the environment by setting up user credentials and network access. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to create databases and tables.
Step 4: Create Database and Tables in TiDB
Use the TiDB SQL interface to create a new database and the necessary tables that match the structure of your data from Recruitee. Define the schema by specifying appropriate data types and constraints for each column. For example, if you have a "Candidates" table, define columns like `id`, `name`, `email`, etc., with their respective data types.
Step 5: Convert CSV Data to SQL Insert Statements
Convert the cleaned CSV data into SQL `INSERT` statements. You can do this manually, write a custom script in a programming language like Python, or use a spreadsheet formula. The SQL statements should match the schema you created in your TiDB tables. Ensure to handle special characters and escape sequences properly in your data.
Step 6: Load Data into TiDB
Connect to your TiDB instance using a SQL client like MySQL Shell or the TiDB command-line interface. Execute the SQL `INSERT` statements to load data into your TiDB tables. If you have a large dataset, consider batching the inserts to optimize performance and reduce the risk of transaction failures.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity
After loading the data, perform a thorough verification to ensure data integrity. Run SQL queries to check the total number of records, validate data types, and cross-check sample entries with the original CSV file. Address any discrepancies by re-inserting or updating the data as necessary. Make use of TiDB's transactional capabilities to ensure data consistency and reliability.
