“Airbyte helped us accelerate our progress by years, compared to our competitors. We don’t need to worry about connectors and focus on creating value for our users instead of building infrastructure. That’s priceless. The time and energy saved allows us to disrupt and grow faster.”

Rupak Patel
"With Airbyte, we could just push a few buttons, allow API access, and bring all the data into Google BigQuery. By blending all the different marketing data sources, we can gain valuable insights."
How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Access SalesLoft API
Begin by accessing the SalesLoft API. You will need an API key for authorization, which can be obtained from your SalesLoft account under the API settings. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to read data from SalesLoft.
Step 2: Extract Data from SalesLoft
Use a programming language like Python to send HTTP GET requests to the SalesLoft API endpoints. For example, use the `requests` library to fetch data. Identify the specific endpoints that contain the data you need (e.g., people, calls, emails) and extract it as JSON.
Step 3: Parse and Clean Data
Once you have the raw data, parse the JSON responses to extract relevant fields. Clean the data by removing any unnecessary fields and handling missing or malformed data. This step ensures that the data format is consistent and ready for insertion into MongoDB.
Step 4: Set Up MongoDB
Install and configure MongoDB on your server or local machine. Ensure MongoDB is running and accessible. Create a new database and collection where the SalesLoft data will be stored. Use the MongoDB shell or a GUI tool like MongoDB Compass for this setup.
Step 5: Transform Data for MongoDB Insertion
Convert the cleaned data into a format suitable for MongoDB. This might involve creating dictionaries in Python that mirror the structure of the MongoDB documents you plan to insert. Ensure data types match those expected by MongoDB (e.g., dates, integers).
Step 6: Insert Data into MongoDB
Utilize a MongoDB client library such as `pymongo` in Python to establish a connection to your MongoDB instance. Use the `insert_one()` or `insert_many()` methods to insert your data into the appropriate collection. Handle any insertion errors and verify successful data transfers.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity and Completeness
After the data transfer, verify the integrity and completeness of the data in MongoDB. Query the database to ensure that all expected records are present and accurate. You can write scripts to compare counts and sample data between SalesLoft and MongoDB to confirm consistency.
This guide provides a direct method for transferring data from SalesLoft to MongoDB without relying on third-party connectors, focusing on using native APIs and database functionalities.
