How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Extract Data from Snapchat Marketing
First, log into your Snapchat Ads Manager account. Navigate to the 'Reports' section where you can create and download reports. Select the metrics and dimensions relevant to your marketing data, such as impressions, clicks, and conversions. Export the data in a CSV format, ensuring it's structured in a tabular form suitable for further processing.
Step 2: Review and Cleanse Data
Open the downloaded CSV file using a spreadsheet application like Excel or Google Sheets. Review the data to ensure that it is complete and accurate. Remove any unnecessary columns or rows, correct any data inconsistencies, and ensure that all the values are in the correct format. This step is crucial for ensuring data integrity before importing into Weaviate.
Step 3: Transform Data to JSON Format
Since Weaviate supports data in JSON format, the next step is to convert your cleansed CSV data into JSON. This can be done using a script in a programming language like Python or by using a CSV to JSON converter tool. Ensure that each row in the CSV becomes a JSON object, with column headers as keys.
Step 4: Set Up Weaviate Schema
Access your Weaviate instance and set up the schema to accommodate the data you plan to import. Define the necessary classes and properties that match the structure and types of your Snapchat data. For example, if you have columns like 'campaign_name', 'clicks', and 'impressions', create corresponding properties in your Weaviate schema.
Step 5: Prepare Data for Import
With your data in JSON format and your Weaviate schema ready, prepare the data for import. Organize the JSON objects according to the schema you defined in Weaviate. Ensure that each JSON object includes all required properties and that their data types match those specified in the schema.
Step 6: Import Data into Weaviate
Use Weaviate's REST API to import your JSON data. You can write a script in a language like Python to automate this process. The script should loop through each JSON object and use HTTP POST requests to add data to your Weaviate instance. Ensure the API endpoint and authentication details are correctly configured.
Step 7: Validate Data in Weaviate
After the import process, validate the data within Weaviate. Use the Weaviate console or API to query the imported data and confirm that it matches what you intended to import. Check for data integrity and ensure all records are correctly stored and accessible. If any issues are found, you may need to adjust your data preparation or import script and re-import as necessary.
By following these steps, you can manually transfer data from Snapchat Marketing into Weaviate without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
