How to load data from Zoom to Teradata

Learn how to use Airbyte to synchronize your Zoom data into Teradata within minutes.

Building your pipeline or Using Airbyte

Airbyte is the only open source solution empowering data teams  to meet all their growing custom business demands in the new AI era.

Building in-house pipelines

Bespoke pipelines are:
  • Inconsistent and inaccurate data
  • Laborious and expensive
  • Brittle and inflexible
Furthermore, you will need to build and maintain Y x Z pipelines with Y sources and Z destinations to cover all your needs.

After Airbyte

Airbyte connections are:
  • Reliable and accurate
  • Extensible and scalable for all your needs
  • Deployed and governed your way
All your pipelines in minutes, however custom they are, thanks to Airbyte’s connector marketplace and AI Connector Builder.

Start syncing with Airbyte in 3 easy steps within 10 minutes

Set up a Zoom connector in Airbyte

Connect to or one of 400+ pre-built or 10,000+ custom connectors through simple account authentication.

Set up Teradata for your extracted Zoom data

Select where you want to import data from your source to. You can also choose other cloud data warehouses, databases, data lakes, vector databases, or any other supported Airbyte destinations.

Configure the Zoom to Teradata in Airbyte

This includes selecting the data you want to extract - streams and columns -, the sync frequency, where in the destination you want that data to be loaded.

How to Sync to Manually

Step 1: Export Data from Zoom

First, you need to export the required data from Zoom. This can be done by logging into your Zoom account and navigating to the Reports section. Choose the type of report you need (e.g., Meeting Reports, Webinar Reports) and specify the date range or other criteria. Once the report is generated, download it in a CSV format.

Step 2: Prepare the CSV Files

After downloading the CSV files, review and clean the data to ensure it is formatted correctly for Teradata. This includes checking for any inconsistencies, ensuring the correct data types, and removing any unnecessary columns. Also, confirm that the CSV file uses a delimiter that Teradata can process (commonly a comma).

Step 3: Set Up Access to Teradata

Ensure you have access to your Teradata database. This involves having the correct credentials and network access to connect to the Teradata server. You might need to contact your database administrator if you do not have this access.

Step 4: Create Target Tables in Teradata

Before importing the data, create the necessary tables in Teradata that will hold the Zoom data. Use the Teradata SQL Assistant or any SQL interface to define the table schema based on the structure of your cleaned CSV files. Ensure that the data types and column names match the CSV data.

Step 5: Use Teradata's FastLoad Utility

Utilize Teradata's FastLoad utility to import large volumes of data efficiently. Prepare a FastLoad script that specifies the CSV file as the source and the Teradata table as the target. The script should include the necessary statements to define the input layout and specify any transformations needed during the load process.

Step 6: Execute the Data Load Script

Run the FastLoad script by accessing the Teradata command-line interface or a compatible execution environment. Monitor the load process for any errors or warnings. Make sure to resolve any data type mismatches or constraint violations that may occur during this step.

Step 7: Verify Data Integrity

Once the data load is complete, verify that the data in Teradata matches the original CSV files. Run SQL queries to check row counts, sample data, and key columns to ensure accuracy. This step is crucial to confirm that the data migration was successful and the data integrity is maintained.

By following these steps, you can manually move data from Zoom to Teradata without relying on third-party connectors or integrations.
