How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from Salesloft
Begin by exporting the necessary data from Salesloft. Log into your Salesloft account and navigate to the section containing the data you wish to export, such as contacts, leads, or sales activities. Use the export feature typically found in the settings or tools section to download the data as a CSV file. Ensure you select all relevant fields and filters to capture the complete dataset you need.
Step 2: Prepare Data for Transfer
After exporting the data, open the CSV file in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Review the data to ensure it is complete and accurately reflects what you intend to transfer. Clean the data by removing any duplicate entries or unnecessary columns. Ensure that the column headers match the format expected by Convex, making any necessary adjustments.
Step 3: Access Convex Data Import Functionality
Log into your Convex account and navigate to the data import section. This is typically found under settings or a data management tab. Familiarize yourself with the data import guidelines provided by Convex, which usually include accepted file formats, required fields, and data formatting standards.
Step 4: Map Salesloft Data to Convex Fields
Use the guidelines from Convex to map your Salesloft data to the corresponding fields in Convex. This involves ensuring that each column in your CSV file corresponds to a field in Convex. Create a mapping document if necessary to keep track of how each column should be aligned, ensuring no data is lost or misaligned during the import process.
Step 5: Convert CSV to Convex-Compatible Format
If Convex requires a specific format other than CSV, such as JSON or XML, convert your CSV file to the required format. Use a script or online tool for this conversion, ensuring the data structure adheres to Convex's specifications. Validate the converted file to check for any errors or formatting issues that could affect the import.
Step 6: Upload Data to Convex
With your data prepared and formatted correctly, proceed to upload it to Convex. Use the data import function in the Convex platform to upload your file. Follow the on-screen instructions, which may include selecting the file, confirming the data mapping, and starting the import process. Monitor the upload to ensure it completes successfully.
Step 7: Verify Data Integrity in Convex
After the data import process is complete, verify that the data has been accurately transferred to Convex. Check several entries to ensure that all fields are populated correctly and that no data is missing. If any discrepancies are found, troubleshoot by reviewing the mapping and conversion steps, then re-upload the corrected data as necessary.
