How to Sync to Manually
Step 1: Export Data from SurveyMonkey
Begin by logging into your SurveyMonkey account. Navigate to the survey whose data you wish to export. Click on "Analyze Results" and then choose the "Export" option. Select your desired format, such as CSV, which is easily manageable for further processing. Download the exported file to your local system.
Step 2: Prepare the CSV for Import
Open the exported CSV file using a spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Review the data to ensure all necessary fields are included and correctly formatted. Make any adjustments needed, such as renaming columns to match the Firebolt schema requirements or cleaning up any inconsistencies.
Step 3: Configure Firebolt Database
Access your Firebolt account and navigate to the database where you intend to import the SurveyMonkey data. Ensure that the necessary tables and columns are already created. If not, create a new table with columns that correspond to those in your CSV file.
Step 4: Set Up a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP)
If not already available, set up an SFTP server that you can use to securely transfer files from your local machine to a location accessible by Firebolt. Ensure that you have the necessary credentials and permissions to upload files.
