What is the Airbyte MongoDb connector?
The Airbyte MongoDb connector extracts data from MongoDb and loads it into 50+ destinations such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or Postgres, with scheduled sync. It publishes tables and events you can select per connection.

Setup
Live in seven steps
First, you need to have a MongoDB instance running and accessible from the internet. You will also need to have the necessary credentials to access the database.
In the Airbyte dashboard, click on "Sources" and then click on "New Source."
Select "MongoDB" from the list of available sources.
In the "Connection Configuration" section, enter the following information: - Host: The hostname or IP address of your MongoDB instance. - Port: The port number on which your MongoDB instance is running. - Username: The username you use to access your MongoDB instance. - Password: The password you use to access your MongoDB instance. - Authentication Database: The name of the database where your authentication credentials are stored.
Click on "Test Connection" to ensure that Airbyte can connect to your MongoDB instance.
If the connection is successful, click on "Save" to save your MongoDB source configuration.
You can now create a new pipeline and select your MongoDB source as the input. You can then configure the pipeline to transform and load your data into your desired destination.

| discover_timeout_seconds | integer | The amount of time the connector will wait when it discovers a document. Defaults to 600 seconds. Valid range: 5 seconds to 1200 seconds. |
| initial_load_timeout_hours | integer | The amount of time an initial load is allowed to continue for before catching up on CDC logs. |
| initial_waiting_seconds | integer | The amount of time the connector will wait when it launches to determine if there is new data to sync or not. Defaults to 300 seconds. Valid range: 120 seconds to 1200 seconds. |
| invalid_cdc_cursor_position_behavior | string | Determines whether Airbyte should fail or re-sync data in case of an stale/invalid cursor value into the WAL. If 'Fail sync' is chosen, a user will have to manually reset the connection before being able to continue syncing data. If 'Re-sync data' is chosen, Airbyte will automatically trigger a refresh but could lead to higher cloud costs and data loss. |
| queue_size | integer | The size of the internal queue. This may interfere with memory consumption and efficiency of the connector, please be careful. |
| update_capture_mode | string | Determines how Airbyte looks up the value of an updated document. If 'Lookup' is chosen, the current value of the document will be read. If 'Post Image' is chosen, then the version of the document immediately after an update will be read. WARNING: Severe data loss will occur if this option is chosen and the appropriate settings are not set on your Mongo instance: https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/changeStreams/#change-streams-with-document-pre-and-post-images. |
